IN-HOUSE ENGINEERING
MTS’s multidisciplinary technical team of engineers carries out studies for civil engineering works, mechanical installations (equipment and piping), electrical systems, instrumentation and control, as well as insulation and paint processes for industrial projects.
This experienced team is involved in all stages of the project, analysing its viability and defining technical specifications, purchase requisitions, planning, activation, monitoring manufacture, supply, installation, commissioning and operation of the installation, thus optimising costs and time limits in the design, production and operation.
STEELS AND ALLOYS
We are officially accredited to undertake highly specialised works with specific requirements. We also have teams officially approved for handling various types of metallic materials, enabling us to offer our customers a whole array of fields of activity in which we can provide the following installation services:
- Pressure and non-pressure pipes and equipment
- Metallic structures and supports for piping and equipment
- Fire protection
GFRP, PLASTIC AND COMPOSITE SYSTEMS
The extraordinary technological advances in plastics over the past few years has meant that they are now used in industrial sectors previously excluded due to limited knowledge and technical progress.
The improvement and optimisation of their mechanical properties, their resistance to corrosion and abrasion, and the high degree of versatility in their fabrication and assembly have replaced conventional materials in applications ranging from water pipes, through to the aggressive chemical industry and the fabrication of structures for hostile environments. They show improved behaviour in comparison with traditional steel solutions.
Personnel at MTS Industrial are highly trained in working with both thermostable plastics (HDPE, PP-H or PVDF) and composites (GFRP, epoxy resin).
FABRICATION WORKSHOP
We have our own fully equipped workshop, under constant direct supervision in all stages of fabrication, enabling us to streamline assembly procedures in a controlled environment, prefabricating most components and optimising planning, safety and quality at each stage.
We have the capacity to fabricate all types of industrial equipment, modules and infrastructure, in accordance with plans submitted by our customers or those developed by our own engineering department.
We work with a wide range of materials, procedures and approved electrode, TIG or semiautomatic welding equipment for metals and for plastic piping.
MTS is an approved manufacturer of pressure equipment and structures. On completion of fabrication we issue the relevant CE declaration of conformity certificate in accordance with current regulations.
EQUIPMENT FABRICATION
We are certified as a company authorised to design, construct, install and repair pressure equipment.
We design and build according to our customers’ needs and specifications.
Our in-house engineering expertise can be called on for the fabrication of industrial equipment that will be subjected to the following conditions:
- pressure
- high temperatures
- both

MTS INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY SL has received a grant for the execution of the Direct Expansion Line project, entitled "NEW PILOT LINE FOR PROCESSING THERMOPLASTIC AND COMPOSITE MATERIALS" and file number IDI-20240484, through the Centre for Technological Development and Innovation (CDTI), a grant co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Pluriregional Operational Programme of Spain 2021 – 2027.
The general objective of the project is to undertake and implement an Investment Plan through the acquisition of two new pieces of equipment, primarily intended for the processing of thermosetting plastics and composites. This acquisition will enable the production of an endless variety of elements from these novel materials. In turn, it will allow MTS to expand its production capacity since, thanks to the implementation of the best available technologies on the market, an innovative improvement is achieved in the design and processing of these materials.
The project is being carried out at the Antas (Almería) facilities in the period between April 2024 and August 2025, with a total execution budget of €220,480.
